The Modulair S refreshed the proven Z400 economy seat into a modular platform without changing core engineering, production processes, lead times, cost, or weight. Facing newer competitor designs, we integrated multiple pre-developed "bricks" — including adjustable headrests, armrests, tables, and stowage — into one flexible system that delivers personalized passenger comfort.

As Project Manager at Safran Seats in CUU, I owned several bricks, coordinated with the full R&D team on styling, modeling, production renders, and TnF. I collaborated closely with ENSCi (fighting-proof armrest), FabDesigns (knitted amenity pocket), Fathom (brick prototypes), and Safran’s Gainesville Prototype Facility. I also led render animations and production videos.

We delivered the physical prototype, visuals, and target TRL levels on time for the France presentation. The project won the Passenger Comfort Hardware category at the 2020 Crystal Cabin Awards.
